Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you identify *Wings of Fire*, outline Kalam’s life and achievements, and explain that readers could learn about discipline and overcoming challenges. The personal influence is also clear in your statement that the book encouraged you to accomplish difficult tasks. This gives the letter a relevant, purposeful response. However, that influence is only briefly explained; a specific example of how it changed your actions or outlook would develop the idea further. The description of the book is informative, but the final claim about its effect on other people remains quite general. The response covers the task well overall, while fuller support for these ideas would make it more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter follows a sensible overall order: you introduce your purpose, name and describe the book, discuss its influence, and close politely. This makes the main message easy to follow. The sequence within the book summary is also broadly logical, moving from Kalam’s childhood to his later achievements. However, most of the content is placed in one long paragraph, so the personal influence and the book’s likely effect on other readers are not clearly separated. Some links, such as “However,” do not express the relationship between ideas accurately, since the next point adds to the description rather than contrasting with it. Use distinct paragraphs and simpler, more precise transitions to make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “autobiography,” “motivational books,” “discipline,” and “overcome challenges.” These choices communicate the subject and intended lessons clearly. There is also some variety in describing the book’s content and influence. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “accoumplish,” “taks,” “hardwork,” and “successfull.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “express my interest to add my contribution” and “got encouragement.” Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, for example, “contribute to the article” and “was encouraged to.” This would make your vocabulary more controlled and appropriate for a formal letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a sentence that lists the stages of Kalam’s life and achievements. The meaning is generally understandable, and the letter’s basic structure is clear. Some grammatical errors remain, however. For example, “I looking forward” needs the auxiliary “am,” while “how he manage” should be “how he managed.” The phrase “This is autobiography” needs an article, and “I have read many motivational books during my student life” would be more naturally expressed with a past-time form. The long sentence beginning “This is autobiography” also contains several clauses joined together, making control less secure. Check verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries when editing.
