Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three points in the task: you identify the book, describe its focus on financial education and money management, and explain its effect on your spending and investment habits. The example that you have begun learning from work rather than working only for money gives your personal influence some detail. You also state who might benefit from the book. To make the response more fully developed, explain that final point with a specific reason or example, and clarify what you learned from the contrast between the two father figures. The purpose of writing to the editor is clear, although a more direct opening and a slightly more developed recommendation would make the letter feel more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The ideas follow a clear sequence: you introduce the book, summarise its subject, describe its influence on you, and then comment on its potential effect on others. This progression makes the letter easy to follow, and phrases such as “The book is about” and “I believe” help signal the stages of your response. The main opportunity is to make the links between ideas more flexible and precise. For example, the shift from the book’s financial concepts to your personal habits could be connected with a phrase explaining how those concepts changed your behaviour. The response is presented as one continuous block; separating the book description from your personal influence and recommendation would make the organisation clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “financial education,” “asset and liability management,” “investment,” and “financially literate,” so the subject is communicated clearly. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “make money work for you” and “strategically for future growth.” However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “contribute in the article,” “the book review which I want to share,” and “control the unnecessary expenses.” Spelling errors such as “libability,” “unncessary,” and “conisderation,” along with the inconsistent capitalisation of the author’s name, reduce accuracy. Aim for natural letter-writing phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “The book review which I want to share” and a longer sentence explaining the book’s concepts. Most of the meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors occur. For example, “I believe this book have influenced” needs subject–verb agreement (“has influenced”), while “individuals who wants” should be “individuals who want.” The phrase “I am writing with regard to contribute” also has an incorrect grammatical pattern; use “I am writing to contribute” or “with regard to contributing.” There is some control of sentence construction, but checking agreement and verb patterns would improve accuracy.
