Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter for a magazine that wants to include readers contribution about the book that influenced them the most. I would like to describe about the book that I have recently read. The name of the book is 'The Financial Mindset' by Satinder singh. This book gives the financial knowledge to layman in simple and clear language.
This book influenced me for the investments, savings and Life insurance, how these work in real life with illustrations. I got encouraged from this book to manage my finances and where can i invest my money without taking much risk.
Moreover, this book can motivate other readers as well to get more knowledge about the financial wealth. When folks will get to know about this book, they will not be able to stop themselves to complete this book because it is very interesting topic that everyone would like it.
Yours faithfully,
Lakhwinder Kaur.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The letter addresses all three requested points: it identifies *The Financial Mindset*, outlines its focus on financial knowledge, and explains that it encouraged you to manage your money and consider lower-risk investments. You also give a view on whether it could influence other readers. These relevant details meet the task well, and the purpose is clear. However, the book’s content and your personal change are only briefly described; for example, you mention savings and life insurance but do not explain a specific lesson or decision that resulted. The prediction about other readers is also broad. To strengthen the response, add one concrete example of how you applied the book’s advice and explain who might benefit from reading it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The information is arranged in a sensible sequence: you introduce the book, describe its influence on you, and then consider its effect on other readers. Paragraphing supports this progression, and phrases such as “Moreover” help signal the final point. The letter format and closing are also appropriate. Some connections are less smooth, however. The opening repeats the magazine’s purpose before moving to your own contribution, and the final sentence combines several ideas in a way that makes the reasoning difficult to follow. The reference in “this book” is clear, but the link between its interesting subject and readers being unable to stop reading is asserted rather than explained. Use more direct transitions and separate the prediction from its supporting reason.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “investments,” “savings,” “life insurance,” and “manage my finances,” so the reader can understand the book’s subject and its personal impact. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “without taking much risk.” However, several word combinations are unnatural or imprecise: “readers contribution,” “describe about the book,” “financial wealth,” and “interesting topic that everyone would like it.” Capitalisation is inconsistent in “Life insurance,” and the author’s surname should be capitalised. These choices make the language less natural, although the main message remains understandable. Aim for accurate collocations and more precise descriptions of the book’s appeal rather than relying on broad phrases such as “more knowledge.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response communicates its main ideas using a mixture of simple statements and longer clauses, including “When folks will get to know about this book…” This shows an attempt to vary sentence structure. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly in clause construction and word order. For example, “I got encouraged from this book to manage my finances and where can i invest my money” does not maintain a parallel structure; it would be clearer to write that the book encouraged you to manage your finances and consider where to invest. The conditional sentence beginning “When folks will get to know” is also awkwardly formed. There are errors in articles and plurals in the opening, and “i” should be capitalised. More consistently controlled complex sentences would improve accuracy and readability.
