Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you about the book that influenced me most is the '' delhi girl train station incident''. This book is my all time favourite book. This book is about one girl who got stuck in night at delhi train station with 1 stranger man. She got followed by that man and stronggly survived from him by fighting back which shows the symbol of strong lady. This book influenced me because It shows that woman are not weak. They know how to survive in unforeseen circumstance. Therefore, they also included in the book some techniques to preserve themselves which impressed me. I can definately say this book will influence other people especially woman because it inspired the woman to live freely with confident on the streets, station without any fear. This books teach the woman how to fight with problems.
Thank you for considering me for the oppurtunity.
Yours faithfully, Raman

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you identify the book, describe the girl’s experience at the station, explain its message about women’s strength, and say it could inspire other women. The explanation that it includes techniques for self-protection also gives a relevant reason for its influence. This meets the task well, and the personal recommendation is clear. To make the response more fully developed, clarify the book’s title and give a little more detail about how its message changed your own attitudes or actions. The prediction about influencing others is relevant, but “other people” is narrowed mainly to women; explaining why the book might also affect a wider readership would strengthen this point.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The ideas follow a generally sensible order: you introduce the book, describe its story, explain its effect, and then consider its effect on readers. The closing thanks and sign-off also suit a letter to an editor. However, most of the content is presented in one long paragraph, so the shifts between the book’s plot, your personal response, and its wider influence are not clearly signposted. Repeated openings such as “This book” and “This book influenced me” make the progression somewhat mechanical. Use separate paragraphs for the book and its influence, and connect ideas more naturally—for example, explain how the survival techniques lead to your conclusion that readers may feel more confident.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary to communicate the topic, including “survived,” “fighting back,” “techniques,” and “influence.” These choices make the central message understandable, and “unforeseen circumstance” shows an attempt to use more precise language. However, the range is limited and some expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “strong lady,” “preserve themselves,” and “live freely with confident.” There are also spelling errors in “stronggly,” “definately,” and “oppurtunity,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, describe the character as “a resilient woman” and say the book encourages readers to feel “confident and safe.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate the main ideas using simple sentences and some attempts at longer structures, such as “because it shows that…” and “which shows…”. However, the range of sentence forms is limited, and errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur in several places. For example, “the book that influenced me most is” creates an awkward structure after “I am writing,” while “woman are not weak” and “This books teach” have subject–verb or number agreement problems. “Got stuck in night” also needs a more accurate article and preposition. Practise building clear sentences with consistent subjects and verb forms, and use a few controlled complex sentences to explain cause and effect.
