Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you identify *The Wings of Fire*, summarise it as the author’s life story and challenges, and explain that it strengthened your willpower and consistency. You also give a clear view that other readers could relate to the author and feel motivated. These relevant details meet the task well. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others: the book’s subject is described broadly, and the claim that it could influence “each individual” would be more convincing with a specific example of who might benefit and why. A little more personal detail about a change in your own behaviour would also make the influence clearer and more fully supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter follows a sensible progression: you introduce your contribution, describe the book, explain its effect on you, and then consider its effect on other readers. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” make the relationship between ideas clear. The closing is appropriate for a letter to an editor. Some connections are less smooth, however: “This book nicely explain about each phase of life” repeats the previous description rather than clearly extending it, while the final paragraph moves quickly from general praise to the prediction about readers. Use clearer transitions and develop each paragraph around one main point to make the progression more consistently natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary to express enthusiasm and personal impact, including “motivated,” “challenges,” “consistency,” and “relate.” These choices make your main message understandable, and phrases such as “life journey” suit the topic. However, several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “touches my soul,” “sheer piece of enthusiasm,” and “in still motivation.” “Successful person” and “each individual” are also broad and repetitive. Aim for more precise, natural collocations and check word forms and spelling; for example, describe the book as “inspiring” rather than calling it a “piece of enthusiasm.” This would make your vocabulary more controlled and flexible.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the relative clause in “challenges he had gone through before becoming a successful person.” Most of the message remains understandable, and the letter’s basic sentence structure is clear. Some grammatical errors nevertheless recur. For example, “This book nicely explain” needs subject–verb agreement, and “It has certainly strengthen” needs the past participle “strengthened.” In “keep working till gets successfully,” the subject and verb pattern are incomplete. There are also errors in “Hope you will found,” where the verb form should follow “will.” Review agreement, verb forms, and complete clause structure, then proofread each sentence to improve accuracy while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
