Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt: reasons for staying in one's birthplace, as well as the advantages and disadvantages. The ideas are relevant, though some points, such as the 'stable job' or 'family business' mentioned in the second paragraph, are not fully developed with specific examples. The position is clear throughout the essay. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your points with more detailed explanations or concrete examples to ensure the ideas are fully extended rather than just listed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices like 'On the other hand', 'For instance', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the progression between sentences is sometimes a bit mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is slightly unclear, such as 'There cost of living' (should be 'The') and 'living at a same place'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'migrate', 'culture', 'ethics', and 'professional growth'. However, there are some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'fast pacing world' (should be 'fast-paced world') and 'make person resistant' (missing an article). To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and ensure you are using the correct forms of words to convey your meaning more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('at a one place', 'at a same place'), subject-verb agreement ('They wants'), and pluralization ('There several reason'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentence fragments or run-on sentences. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy, such as subject-verb agreement and article usage, will significantly improve your score. Try to proofread your work specifically for these common errors.
