Student answer (Band 6.0)
most of the people love to spend their lives living close to where they were born. there are several reasons.
To commence ,many people spend their most of the time where they were born because they have childhood memories which makes them difficult to leave that place. Moreover, they love to live that place which makes them more happy. For example: there is the headline is the sunday tribune that, in 1990s a study tells that 80percent of the old people feel happy because they live at the same place where they were born. thus that's why people love to lives close to where they were born.
however there are many prons to spend most of their lives survive close to their born area, they have their many childhood friends which understand better than new friends because they have known each other for a long time. on the other hand side. there are also disadvantages to living thier life on same area where they were born that is , it make them emotionally weak when the person think move to another place it make them very difficult to leave his birthplace. to illustrate the author willian andries said that 20 percent of the people face difficulty to move from onr place to another beacuse they live at same place where they were born.
Thus, birthplace is the place where people love to spend their most of the lives because they have their memories attached with that place and the advantage to is that they have their best friends who live with them from long time, and there are also some disadvantages like people become emotionaly unstable.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, including reasons, advantages, and disadvantages. However, the development of these ideas is limited. The arguments regarding childhood memories and emotional stability are mentioned but not fully explored or supported with logical depth. The examples provided, such as the reference to 'the sunday tribune' and 'author willian andries', appear fabricated or lack sufficient context to be persuasive. To improve, you should focus on providing more detailed explanations and realistic, well-integrated examples that clearly support your main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often disrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. While you use some cohesive devices like 'To commence' and 'Moreover', they are sometimes used incorrectly or feel forced. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that connects logically to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'happy', 'place', and 'lives'. There are also several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'prons' (pros), 'survive close to their born area', and 'emotionally unstable' (when 'dependent' or 'attached' might have been more accurate). To improve, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'familiarity', 'social support networks', or 'stagnation', and pay closer attention to word forms and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people love to lives'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, and punctuation is often misused, particularly with commas and capitalisation. While you attempt some complex structures, they are frequently inaccurate. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb tenses.
