Student answer (Band 6.0)
A proportion of people love to make their own accomodation on birth place. There are plenty of factors behind this type of living style. This essay will examine the main causes of this kind of accomodation and talk about both good and bad sides of this.
One of the main cause is childhood memories .This is because certain people like to spend their whole life in their own hometown which allow them to stay attach with that time which they spent during young age. As a result, own hometown helps people to stay with childhood favaourable places which give the birth to childhood memories. Another major factor is friends which were during the small age. This would help them to make good bond in childhood friendship. To examplify, the famous crickers rohit sharrma and virat sharma, they both of them know each others since when they were 5 years old and they made their accomodation where they born and brought up.
Starting with good stuff, one big benefit is that postive relationship with families members and relatives. By living in born accomodation help people to spend quality time with close ones. Drake is big example as he is living in Canadian society with family members where he born and spend his young age. On the other hand , there are some downside that make it bit of problem. People will have less diversity in cultures as if people live in old hometown is will be quite difficult for them to know about the different typle of backgrounds.
In conclusion, by living in own hometown allow people to stay sttach with childhood time and also make healthy relation with childhood friends. In my opinion, this type of living style has both good and bad sides.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt: reasons, advantages, and disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the reasons provided (childhood memories and friends) are repetitive and lack depth. The examples given, such as the reference to 'crickers' (cricketers) and 'Drake', are not fully integrated or relevant to the general argument about living in one's birthplace. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the points made in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'One of the main cause', 'Another major factor', and 'On the other hand', though some are used mechanically or incorrectly (e.g., 'Starting with good stuff'). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences is occasionally disrupted by grammatical errors. Paragraphing is present, but the transition between the advantages and disadvantages could be smoother. Overall, the structure is coherent, but the use of cohesive devices lacks the flexibility required for a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate but limited. There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'make their own accomodation on birth place' instead of 'remain in their place of birth' and 'good stuff' instead of 'advantages'. Spelling errors are frequent, including 'accomodation', 'favaourable', 'crickers', 'sharrma', and 'sttach'. These errors occasionally impede the reader's flow. To improve, you should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring correct spelling of key terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'One of the main cause is'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'where they born'), and missing articles or prepositions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several run-on sentences and missing spaces after periods. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors would be highly beneficial.
