Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 100 words. Consequently, the development of ideas is severely restricted. While the response touches upon the reasons for living near one's birthplace (peace, family proximity) and mentions advantages and disadvantages, these points are not developed or supported with sufficient detail or examples. The ideas are presented in a fragmented manner, and the response does not provide a clear, structured argument. To improve, you must expand on each point with specific examples and ensure all parts of the prompt are addressed in depth.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a clear logical progression. While there is a basic attempt to divide the text into paragraphs, the internal structure of these paragraphs is weak. Cohesive devices are largely absent or misused, such as the awkward transition 'In other view of people'. The relationship between ideas is often unclear, making the text difficult to follow. To improve, you should use linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') to connect your ideas and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that is supported by subsequent, logically ordered points.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and often inaccurate, which frequently impedes communication. There are numerous errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'ruler area' (rural area), 'bcause', 'lonelyness', and 'jion'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas, relying on basic, repetitive terms. To improve, you should focus on learning the correct spelling of common words and expanding your vocabulary related to lifestyle, family, and urban/rural living. Using a dictionary to check collocations—how words are used together—will also help you sound more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that make the text difficult to understand. There are significant issues with sentence structure, verb tense, and subject-verb agreement, such as 'many of the people are living should prefer' and 'them family are also live their'. The use of punctuation is also inconsistent. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple, error-prone sentences. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and practice using correct verb tenses and prepositions.
