Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the modern era, mass believe that they should lives very close to the country where they born because they have strong connection with that place. I believe that, there are many reasons of living in that place which have both benefits and drawbacks which i discuss in upcoming paragraph.
First and foremost, one main reason is spending too much time on that place where person is born because they are familiar with that location also they have more about the place as compare to other because they have strong bonding even they have more friends there that why they prefer to live there and it is big advantage is that they become more socialize as well as they have more friends there which they never loose. Secondly, where person born then they have their own culture where they believe which they never loose For instance, i born in punjab and i have my own region where i live and i belong to sikh family and we bleive in it so all of my village people belong to it sna i am very familiar with it which is big advantage that i never forget my culture and it if big benefit for me as well as for my future.
However, it has one drawback it person who live more close to that place where they born then they face difficult to live in new place and adopt the culture of other nation because it he or she never leave that place then they never develop their live and never adopt the new opportunities for their life.
To conclude , there are many advantage of live that place where person is born ,but we cannot negelct the negative point such as they never grow up.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, including reasons, advantages, and disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the explanation of why people stay in their birthplace is repetitive, focusing mainly on 'familiarity' and 'friends'. The disadvantage section is also underdeveloped, as the argument that one 'never grows up' is stated but not fully explored with specific examples or logical depth. The position is clear, but the overall response lacks the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. While some cohesive devices are used, such as 'First and foremost' and 'However', they are sometimes used mechanically or incorrectly (e.g., 'that why they prefer'). The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences is hampered by grammatical errors, which makes the logical connection between ideas difficult to follow at times. Paragraphing is present but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. The student relies on basic terms like 'big advantage', 'big benefit', and 'good'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'mass believe' instead of 'many people believe' and 'never loose' (likely meaning 'lose'). The range is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely, and the spelling errors (e.g., 'bleive', 'sna', 'negelct') are frequent enough to occasionally distract the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('person who live', 'they never loose'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, such as 'For instance, i born in punjab and i have my own region where i live and i belong to sikh family and we bleive in it so all of my village people belong to it sna i am very familiar with it'. The range of structures is limited to simple sentences with frequent errors.
