Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is no denial in the statement that a good number of human beings spend a significant time of their life living near their birthplace. There are distinct reasons behind it which lead it to be beneficial and bad in different ways.
For many people the city they have born in is extremely valuable that they want to spent their whole life living near to it. It helps those people to stay connected to their culture as well as roots. Moreover, they want to keep their culture alive and saved from disappearing which is important in this era and enduringly appreciated by their upcoming generations.
Conversely, spending the whole life span at same place can miss a lot of things, As a person should travel or visit more snd more places they can so it can not only increase their knowledge but also allows them to mix up with other culture rich in different ways. Moreover, diversity is important in the modern world which allows society to develop in many ways such as learning about more languages and foods. if people keep staying at one place for their entire life it will limit them certain study and employment opportunities. For example, I moved to Canada for better lifestyle and I am very grateful for this experience as i have found many better opportunities here. if people keep visiting distinct places they will experience a lot of better and growing chances in life leading their life to be more enjoyable.
Although it is important to stay connected to roots but a person spending the whole life at same place can loose a lot of good experiences. I believe that everyone should keep visiting different places.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt: reasons for staying, advantages, and disadvantages. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, while you mention staying near one's birthplace helps 'stay connected to their culture,' this point could be expanded with more specific examples of how this manifests in daily life. Similarly, the disadvantages are touched upon, but the link between staying in one place and limited employment opportunities could be more deeply explored. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main idea is supported by a more detailed explanation or a more robust example.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the reasons for staying to the pros and cons. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover,' 'Conversely,' and 'Although,' which help the flow. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and sentence-level cohesion, such as the comma splice in '...miss a lot of things, As a person should travel...'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring punctuation is used correctly to join clauses would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'enduringly,' 'diversity,' and 'lifestyle.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'There is no denial in the statement' (should be 'There is no denying'), 'saved from disappearing' (should be 'preserved'), and 'growing chances' (should be 'opportunities'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage. Focusing on collocations—words that naturally go together—will help you move toward a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'the city they have born in' (should be 'were born in'), 'staying at one place' (should be 'staying in one place'), and 'loose a lot' (should be 'lose'). Additionally, there are issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical errors and ensure that complex structures are formed accurately to avoid impeding the reader's understanding.
