Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, a few number of individuals stay close to the places where they were born. This could be because it is difficult for them to adapt a change and a new surroundings. According to me, it has more strong demerits as compared to advantages as the opportunities for career advancement will get restricted to that place only.
The primary reason is that it is always human's tendency to become comfortable with all available amenities and resources they have and it later becomes difficult for them to come out of that loop. Moreover, They will more likely not to look for other opportunities as it is always risky to start something new. For instance, People keep working in same companies for decades as it is not convenient for them to leave that job and learn something new in fear of losing the existing benefits. Therefore, people gets restricted to same places and cities for their whole life.
There are numerous merits of this trend one of them is that they get used to with their surroundings. Furthermore, They could find a lifelong friends to spend there rest of lives. Not only connection but also if they doing same things they can become master of it. For instance, by living in same city they can easily buy anything and reach anywhere as they are already about shops and routes.
On the other hand, there are many disadvantages. Foremost is it will close the door to endless opportunities. To explain it further, if individuals will come out of same life they can advance there careers and learn new skills. In addition, people can explore the world and meet new people. For instance, a new experience is always a great learning in terms of both work and place. Also, there is always different wages allocated in different province so one should always open for relocation.
In conclusion, although people tend to stay at same place since there birth because of fear of new environment, it is often recommended to relocate for career advancement and endless opportunities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt: reasons, advantages, and disadvantages. The position is clear throughout, and the ideas are generally relevant. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the explanation of why people stay in one place is repetitive, focusing mainly on 'fear' and 'comfort.' The advantages section is also quite brief and lacks depth. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced examples and ensure that the arguments are fully explored rather than just stated. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and could better synthesize the main points discussed in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover,' 'For instance,' and 'On the other hand,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly forced. Additionally, there are issues with referencing and clarity; for instance, 'They could find a lifelong friends' lacks a clear antecedent, and the flow between sentences within paragraphs is occasionally choppy. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. You rely on common phrases like 'a few number of' (which is grammatically incorrect) and 'good learning.' There are also some collocation errors, such as 'more strong demerits' instead of 'significant disadvantages' and 'allocated in different province.' While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little attempt to use less common or idiomatic language. To improve, focus on learning collocations and more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater clarity and style.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, such as 'a few number of individuals,' 'adapt a change,' 'people gets restricted,' and 'they are already about shops.' Subject-verb agreement and article usage are recurring issues. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To achieve a higher band, you need to demonstrate better control over complex structures and proofread carefully to eliminate basic errors in tense, agreement, and word order.
