Student answer (Band 6.0)
Many individuals spend their lives living on the birth place. There are several reasons for this type of living pattern. This essay further elaborates on the advantages and disadvantages, along with relevant examples and reasons.
The key reason is family support, which is beneficial to the person who chooses to live closer to family. People can get financial help as well as emotional support in tough situations. Another reason is economic factors: some individuals do not have financial support to relocate, Whereas, other having stable job in their hometown. Moreover, some have their parents responsibility to take care.
Living close to the birthplace has multiple benefits. One of the advantages is family connectivity, which means people can easily stay in touch with their family and maintain strong relationships. That helps in the future with problems and tough times. For example, people in the hospital get financial and emotional support. Another is cultural celebration, where people can enjoy various festivals and events with their loved ones.
On the contrary, people face a lack of growth issues. They cannot get a chance to explore different cultures, languages, and lifestyles.
Another drawback is career growth. Although people have stable jobs, their earnings are very low, and there are limited opportunities for work. For instance, if people live in another country or developed states, they can easily find high-paying jobs.
In summary, by looking at all the benefits and drawbacks, I would say that living on the birth place can give you more happiness, support, networking, and unforgettable memories than living somewhere else.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt: reasons for staying in one's birthplace, as well as the advantages and disadvantages. The ideas are relevant, such as family support and career limitations. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For instance, the point about 'economic factors' is mentioned but not fully explained, and the transition between reasons and advantages is slightly repetitive. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your examples with more specific detail rather than listing points. The position is clear, but the overall depth of analysis is limited, which is characteristic of a Band 6 response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic progression of ideas from reasons to benefits and then drawbacks. You use some cohesive devices like 'The key reason,' 'Moreover,' and 'On the contrary.' However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disjointed, such as the abrupt transition in the first paragraph. Referencing is generally clear, but the paragraphing could be more sophisticated to better link the advantages and disadvantages to the reasons provided.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'financial support,' 'emotional support,' and 'career growth.' However, there are some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'living on the birth place' (should be 'in one's birthplace') and 'parents responsibility' (should be 'responsibility to take care of their parents'). The range is sufficient to communicate, but there is a lack of less common or more precise lexical items that would demonstrate a higher level of control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the fluency of the text. Examples include 'other having stable job' (should be 'others have stable jobs') and 'people in the hospital get financial and emotional support' (which is a bit vague). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor errors in capitalization and article usage. The errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score.
