Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays many people often move from the places where they have lived for so many years especially childhood for better career option or for higher living standards. However, some people spent their whole life without moving anywhere because of sense of familiarity and family connections.
One of the biggest reason is that people have strong connections with their family and relatives that builds a sense of support during tough times. Moreover the distance between home often affects their relation with other for example if someone lives close to their house will be more likely to meet more often as compared to others who lives in a different city and this also strengthens bonds between people.
Everybody faces tough times in their lives but having people who will stand with them is far better than suffering alone and they can also festivals and events together in this era. Although staying near to birth place has many benefits but that often makes people limited to that place only as many time to get better opportunities in life one has to leave the comfort zone which can be the birth place as well. Furthermore the person will meet people form different places and will get to know about their culture and tradition .
In conclusion, people often stay close to where they were born because of family ties and familiarity with their surroundings. Although this can offer greater stability and social support, it may also reduce opportunities for career development and new experiences.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt: reasons for staying, advantages, and disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention family support as a reason and advantage, the explanation remains quite general. The disadvantage section regarding career opportunities is relevant but could be expanded with more specific examples or deeper analysis to reach a higher band. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of argument is consistent with a Band 6 level, as some points are under-developed and the overall response feels slightly brief in its exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Although', and 'Furthermore' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by mechanical phrasing, such as 'the distance between home often affects their relation with other'. The referencing is sometimes slightly unclear, and the transition between the advantages and disadvantages could be smoother. Overall, the progression of ideas is coherent, but the use of cohesive devices is somewhat repetitive and occasionally lacks the flexibility required for a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'career development', 'comfort zone', and 'social support'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of slightly unnatural word choices, such as 'the distance between home often affects their relation with other' (should be 'others') and 'they can also festivals and events together' (missing a verb like 'celebrate'). To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and a wider variety of academic vocabulary to demonstrate greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the fluency of the text. Examples include 'some people spent their whole life' (tense inconsistency), 'one of the biggest reason' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'people form different places' (spelling error). Additionally, some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'if someone lives close to their house will be more likely to meet'. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score.
