Student answer (Band 5.0)

According to the given statement people want to spend their life around people where they born. There are some advantages and disadvantages of the statement. I will discuss both in the upcoming paragraphs.

Foremost Advantage is Safeplace, As you started living around the people where you born, you started feeling safe around them. Second advantage is comfortness, If you are living with someone since childhood then as a human being we started feeling a sense of comfort around them and as a person you does not want to leave a comfortness, which you feel around your close one's.

There are several Disadvantage of it. Foremost, If you want to grow in life and want to learn something new then we have to come out of our comfort zone. Because the person with whom you brought up, never let you learn new skills and constantly distract your attention. Second Disadvantage is lazyness, If you want to start your business even at national level, still you have get out of a city where you grow up in order to learn what the people want's who is living in another part of your country but because of lazyness you will not able to achieve it.

To conclude, I discussed both the advantage and disadvantage of the statement and according to my experience you should avoid living your close atleast for some times in order to grow in life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing reasons, advantages, and disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat superficial. The reasons for staying are not clearly articulated beyond 'safety' and 'comfort'. Furthermore, the response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the overall development of the task. The conclusion is brief and lacks a summary of the main points. To improve, you should expand on your arguments with more specific examples and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a more thorough exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'Foremost Advantage is Safeplace' and 'Second Disadvantage is lazyness'. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, and the logical flow is hindered by repetitive sentence structures. While there is a clear attempt at paragraphing, the lack of sophisticated linking words makes the progression of ideas feel disjointed. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring they are used naturally will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'advantage', 'disadvantage', and 'comfortness' (which is not standard English). There are several word-choice errors, such as 'safeplace' instead of 'sense of security' and 'lazyness' instead of 'complacency' or 'lethargy'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more academic vocabulary and collocations, such as 'stepping out of one's comfort zone' or 'professional development', rather than repeating simple phrases. Spelling errors like 'want's' also detract from the overall quality.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('the person... never let you', 'what the people want's') and incorrect verb forms ('where you born', 'you does not want'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and apostrophes. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar limits the score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will help improve your accuracy.
