Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, many people love to be in a place where they were born. Living in a place where you were born for entire life because they want to live to there loved one and near the soil which gave birth to him .And also this thing can have many merits and demerits that i will discuss in upcoming paragraph.
Many people love to live in the place where they were born because they feel a sense of belonging. There are several benefits as you got to live near your loved ones. secondly whenever you want you can meet your parents friends and relatives. Moreover whenever there is any festivals you can spend with your family. Also, if there is any emergency or you need any kind of help for example money then you have your family with you to help you in your bad times. for example when i was India and my family wanted 100 thousand rupees for some medical purpose at that our relatives helped us with money so i believe living to close to where you were born is a blessing.
But with having many benefits of living close to where you were born have few drawbacks so because of this you cannot grow in your life as we cannot find all things whether it is for getting higher education or getting financial good we always need to leave the soil where we were born. For example if i take my own example to get better education which i guess i would not be able to get back in my country because of which i have to move to Canada.
In my perspective i believe that spending your whole life in a place you were born gives you mental stability and peace but you need to leave that place if you want to grow in your life whether that is for getting better education or for being financial better.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt: reasons, advantages, and disadvantages. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide personal examples, such as the financial help from relatives and your move to Canada for education, the analysis remains relatively superficial. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on the implications of these points—for example, discussing the broader societal impact of staying in one place versus the personal growth gained from migration. The ideas are relevant, but they could be more thoroughly explored to demonstrate a deeper engagement with the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'moreover,' 'secondly,' and 'for example,' to link sentences. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, particularly in the first paragraph where the sentence structure is fragmented. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between your arguments would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing, such as 'many people love to live' and 'good things.' While you successfully communicate your meaning, there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic language. Some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'near the soil which gave birth to him' or 'getting financial good.' To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider variety of vocabulary related to the themes of migration, community, and personal development.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many people love to be... because they want to live to there loved one'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'But with having many benefits... have few drawbacks'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of commas and capitalization. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors suggests a need for more careful proofreading and a stronger grasp of basic sentence construction.
