Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses all parts of the prompt: reasons, advantages, and disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention 'sentimental value' and 'comfort zones' as reasons, the explanation remains quite general. The discussion of advantages and disadvantages is repetitive, as you essentially restate the reasons as advantages. To reach a higher band, you should provide more distinct, well-developed examples. For instance, when discussing career advancement, you could elaborate on how moving to a city provides access to specific industries or networking opportunities that are unavailable in one's hometown. The position is clear, but the overall depth of analysis is consistent with a Band 6.0 level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'On the one hand', and 'In conclusion' to link your points. However, some transitions are mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'As mentioned in the causes, it can provide a number of advantages'. The use of cohesive devices is adequate but lacks the flexibility and sophistication required for higher bands. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a more cohesive internal structure would enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally sufficient to convey your meaning, but it is somewhat repetitive and lacks precision. You use phrases like 'happy recalls' and 'revival their beautiful days', which are not natural collocations. There are also some errors in word choice, such as 'hinder the people growth' instead of 'hinder personal growth' and 'drastacally' (spelling error). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'geographic mobility', 'professional trajectory', or 'emotional attachment'. While your vocabulary is adequate for the task, the frequent reliance on simple terms limits your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'people has sentimental value' (subject-verb agreement), 'they feel happy from inside' (awkward phrasing), and 'the individuals will be not willingly to leave' (incorrect word order/form). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they are frequent enough to keep the score in the 5.5–6.0 range. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of modal verbs will help improve your accuracy significantly.
