Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people stay most of their lives living close to where they were born, but some people choose to move from their and start their new life somewhere else .
Here is a big reason behind it , People want to stay with their parents for their whole life mostly men are do that just because they are conscious about every single inch of their hometown so they don not want to go anywhere in the world after their parents and their relatives whom they spent life with . there is a huge amount of reasons that might be suitable for this situation but I only remember few ,
They also faced the pressure from the society that everyone do backbiting if they leave their born place . In rural areas people are make fun of those people who go away form their parents and start their new life form far away from their parents they making bad jocks about them.
I seen through my eyes such kind of cases that if a boy or a girl move from house for their own sake and for making her\himself happy people talk shit about them that thay leave their old parents and run away from their house .
In my neighbours , one family done the wedding of their eldest sun , his wife is a government teacher , so he move to his wife's house with him and start his job from his wife's house , now everyone talk bad about him that he has not any shame about his parents .
So in concclusion every one has their own reasons to stay at their birthplace.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by identifying reasons for staying in one's birthplace, such as family attachment and social pressure. However, the task also explicitly asks for the advantages and disadvantages of this choice, which are not addressed. The essay focuses almost exclusively on the reasons, leaving the second part of the prompt largely ignored. The ideas provided are somewhat repetitive and lack the depth required for a higher band. To improve, ensure that every part of the prompt is given a dedicated paragraph and that the arguments are balanced and fully developed with clear examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or conclusion that effectively frames the argument, and the paragraphing is insufficient. The flow between ideas is often disjointed, and the use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical. For instance, the transition between the discussion of social pressure and the personal example is abrupt. To improve, use clear topic sentences for each paragraph and employ a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') to guide the reader through your argument logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and often repetitive, which limits the ability to convey complex ideas. There are several instances of informal or inappropriate word choices, such as 'talk shit' and 'making bad jocks'. These expressions are not suitable for an IELTS writing task, which requires a more formal or neutral tone. Additionally, there are errors in word formation and collocation, such as 'born place' instead of 'birthplace'. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to migration and social dynamics, and avoid colloquialisms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'mostly men are do that'), tense usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, making them difficult to follow. The range of structures is limited, relying mostly on simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that sentences are correctly punctuated. Practice using complex sentences with subordinating conjunctions to improve your grammatical range.
