Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, most of the individuals like to lead their life in their dreamplaces. Whilst, some never leave their hometown or the places, they were born. In the upcoming paragraphs, we will discuss the causes behind it, along with merits and demerits.
Sense of belonging is the main reason that some people never leave their homes. As, they are brought up in same towns or cities, only people they know are their neighbours, relatives and parents. Thus. it becomes a comfort zone for them, where they actually belong. Another reason can be the senior citizens, as they get older, they need more attention and care leading their family to live close to them.
Being stress free is one of the advantages. Because of today's hectic life, citizens are constantly in stress for their career and jobs. Therefore, being in their comfort zone helps them to talk openly and take a relief from their busy schedule.
One of the negative points of living close to birth place is that adults can never become fully-independent. In other words, when they live with their family, they are actually dependent on others for their small daily life decisions. However, when they are introduced to a new enviroment, it helps to build confidence.
To summarise it, although there are some disadvantages of living at same place for whole life, only peace of mind and sense of belonging outweighs all the negative points of it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt: reasons, advantages, and disadvantages. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited, and the essay falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement. While the reasons (sense of belonging, family care) and the pros/cons (stress relief vs. lack of independence) are relevant, they are presented in a brief manner that lacks depth or illustrative examples. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with specific scenarios or more detailed explanations. Because the response is under the word count, it is penalised in this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In the upcoming paragraphs', 'Thus', and 'In other words'. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or misused, such as starting a sentence with 'As' or 'Because' in a way that creates a fragment. Additionally, the punctuation is occasionally faulty, such as the period after 'Thus'. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help the flow of your writing feel more natural and sophisticated.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'sense of belonging', 'hectic life', and 'fully-independent'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'lead their life in their dreamplaces' (should be 'live in their dream locations') and 'take a relief' (should be 'find relief'). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. Try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and avoid repetitive phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, though the complexity is somewhat limited. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'most of the individuals like' (should be 'most individuals like'), 'in same towns' (should be 'in the same towns'), and 'living at same place' (should be 'living in the same place'). Punctuation errors, such as the unnecessary full stop after 'Thus', also occur. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and article usage to improve accuracy.
