People choose to spend their whole lives at the same place because they avoid inevitable changes which means they are protecting themselves to the pertinent they intend to avoid the risk and consequences the life would trow on them if they try to move out. Inferiority and incabability is also one highlighted reason for staying at the same place.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing reasons why people stay in their birthplaces, along with the associated advantages and disadvantages. A clear position is maintained throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas tends to be slightly superficial and repetitive in places. For instance, the reasons given regarding avoiding change and feelings of inferiority are underdeveloped and lack strong elaboration. Examples provided, such as the 90 percent of Indian community travelling across Canada, are somewhat anecdotal and lack complete clarity. While the main prompt requirements are covered, the extension and support of ideas place this response comfortably at a Band 6.0 level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing separating the introduction, reasons, advantages, disadvantages, and conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical. Sentences are often joined with basic transitional phrases like 'On one side of the spectrum' and 'On the other hand', but internal referencing and logical progression within paragraphs show awkward transitions, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters ('still', 'for instance', 'times of india') and abrupt topic shifts. Paragraphing is present and separates ideas into distinct sections, but the lack of smooth flow and mechanical cohesive devices keep this criterion at Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'imperative', 'captivative', and 'cultural heritage', but control is inconsistent. There are several noticeable word-choice errors, awkward collocations, and spelling mistakes throughout the text, including 'homesickenss', 'nbot', 'descision', and phrases like 'protecting themselves to the pertinent' or 'trow on them'. Vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the intended meaning, but errors in spelling and word formation do occasionally impede smooth reading. This lexical profile aligns well with a Band 5.5 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, though complex structures are frequently faulty. Numerous grammatical errors are present, including subject-verb agreement issues ('This both views has', 'individuals who stays'), incorrect prepositions ('at the same place' instead of 'in the same place'), and punctuation or capitalization errors (starting sentences with lowercase letters). While the communication of ideas is generally maintained despite the mistakes, the frequency of errors prevents the response from achieving a higher band. The overall grammatical control reflects a solid Band 5.5 level.
