Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both the reasons people stay near their birthplace and some advantages and disadvantages, but the coverage is uneven and several ideas are only briefly stated. Emotional attachment and family support are relevant reasons, while fear of leaving the city and taking on challenges is another possible explanation. You also mention exploring new places and cultures as a benefit of moving, and suggest that staying may limit mental challenge. However, the discussion does not clearly separate the advantages and disadvantages of staying, and some points are difficult to interpret, such as “they dont want live in nostaligia time.” Your position is not consistently clear. Develop each side with a specific explanation or example and make the comparison explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, ideas are not arranged in a clear progression: the first body paragraph shifts between moving being difficult, staying, and the benefits of exploring elsewhere, while the next paragraph combines emotional ties, fear, family support and nostalgia. Some links are unclear, and repeated references to moving between places do not always show how one point relates to the next. Plan separate paragraphs for reasons, advantages and disadvantages, then use clear topic sentences and connect each supporting explanation directly to its main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “career,” “explore,” “culture,” “tradition,” “family support” and “challenges.” This gives you a basic range for discussing the topic. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or inaccurately chosen, which sometimes makes meaning unclear: “normal personal,” “explore a new places,” and “nostaligia time” are examples. Spelling errors such as “moveing,” “elabortae,” “factores” and “decesion” also reduce clarity. Aim to use precise phrases for the task, such as “remain in their hometown” and “emotional ties,” and check spelling and word forms carefully. Avoid repeating “one place to another place” when a concise alternative is available.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “Although” and a reason introduced by “Because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement and articles frequently make the writing difficult to follow. For example, “Many people moved some of for study or work” is not a complete, clear construction, and “They lives their life” has agreement and number problems. “Staying same places so longer its not give mentally challenge” also contains several grammatical errors that obscure the intended point. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check agreement, articles and punctuation, especially where you join two complete ideas.
