Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the contemporary era, the trend is increasing to stay in ubran areas and overseas countries by most of youngsters. But a few residents believe that people live most of their live at their birthplaces due to family support and comfort. In my opinion, people should see what is happening in other areas, they need to learn something new for their brighten future. I will explain both benefits and limitations in the upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, staying at the same place where they born have some advantages like living with family and feel comfortable. To explicate it, today's time, everyone has a hectic schedule and everytime they are busy in their work and children in their studies. They are unable to spend some precious time to their family becuase if people far from their family can face a few issues like financial problems, difficult to trust anyone. Moreover, they feel more comfortable with their all family members than others. They can easily share their up and downs that they are facing. As a result, to stay with family is a better solution to feel more better and to spend quality time with their loved ones.
However, several limitations are here that people have to face job opportunities, financial problems and lack of social knowledge. To elaborate it, Nowadays, citizens are becoming more educated and they want to spend their further life with full enjoyment. Most of people move from their birthplaces because they do not become independant while living with family. Furthermore, most of residents are unemployed which has become a big issue in modern era. So, by moving from their birthplace, they get more jobs chances, learn new skills while living in well developed areas. Hence, living at same place is not significant because money and high level job both are important for better future that they cannot get in their birthplace.
In conclusion, although both perspectives have merit, according to me, moving from birthplace is essential if we do not have better chances to make our life more easy and luxury. So, people should thing about their family needs and their lives. Also, staying at place where they born is not problem if they have better ideas, reliable source of income.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both requested areas by giving reasons for staying near one’s birthplace and discussing benefits and drawbacks. Family support, comfort, employment, and independence are relevant points, and your conclusion gives a position in favour of moving when opportunities are limited. However, the reasons for remaining are not clearly separated from the advantages, and the opening introduces a trend among young people that is not fully connected to the question. Several claims, such as people becoming less independent while living with family, need explanation or a specific example. Develop each main idea with a clear cause-and-effect explanation and ensure the conclusion directly summarises both sides.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “However” help readers follow the shift between points, and the main progression is generally logical. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some features of stronger progression. At times, though, linking is mechanical, and connections between sentences are not always clear—for example, the discussion of busy schedules does not clearly explain why staying near family follows from this. Some references, such as “both perspectives,” are broad. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each sentence’s relationship to the previous point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “family support,” “financial problems,” “job opportunities,” and “independent.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors make some phrases difficult to interpret. Examples include “urban areas and overseas countries,” “their brighten future,” “more better,” and “jobs chances.” “Social knowledge” is also unclear in this context. These issues fit a limited but minimally adequate range: the reader can usually understand your meaning, but must sometimes work it out. Build a bank of natural collocations for migration, employment, and family life, and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, using clauses with “because,” “if,” and “while,” as well as a contrastive opening with “although.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make the reader pause. For example, “where they born” lacks the required verb form, “staying … have” has subject–verb disagreement, and “people far from their family can face” has an unclear grammatical relationship. The sentence beginning “To elaborate it” also contains several clauses that are not joined clearly. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and check that each sentence has a clear subject and verb.
