Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowdays, migration is an ongoing trend in every part of the world. People are moving from one nation to another for various reasons such as for work, study and quality etc. However, some of them like to live closer to their birthplace. According to me, there are some advantages and disadvantages of this, that i will explain in the upcoming paragraphs.
First and foremost, lets have a look on the positive effects of living near to the place where they born. There are quite advantages of that such as good connection with people, aware about the area, feel more safe and more other benefits. For instance, if they reside, near to their birthplace, they would have good connection with those people whom they know since they were child. Moreover, they also have vast enough about the shops close to that so they can easily buy their things from there because of their good relation with the shop owner. Thus, this will reduce their stress and strengthen their relationship with other people.
On the other hand, there are some disadvantages and difficulities that they may have to face if they moved to other places. In addition to this, the issues like - unaware about the areas, changes of getting lost, hard to make friends. Furthermore, if they moved to overseas, they have face a lot of new challages one of them is that they would not aware about the area. they have to look for everything like where they can find the grocery store, malls and etc. Some people are introvert they feel shy to ask for help that would be very hard for them. Hence,it will results in more stress to the people and lead some health issues and they start feeling alone and depressed.
To sum up, In my opinion, although, it is better to explore new sites to live for better future because of their amenties and advancement but it has some negative effects as well like they feel more stressed and alone or not familar with the place. However, Residing close to your hometown is better option because people are born their so theu know everytthing about that area and more likely have good connection with all people and have good reputation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the topic and give a clear preference for staying near one’s hometown in the conclusion. The advantages you mention—familiarity with local people and shops, and feeling safer—are relevant, and you explain how these may reduce stress. However, the task asks why some people remain near where they were born, and this part is not directly answered: the opening discusses migration generally, but does not explain reasons such as family ties, work, or financial constraints. The disadvantages paragraph also focuses mainly on moving elsewhere rather than on disadvantages of staying close to home. Develop both sides of the question directly, with specific explanations and examples, and make your position consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and signposts such as “First and foremost,” “On the other hand,” and “To sum up” help show the intended structure. However, progression is not always clear because the second body paragraph shifts from disadvantages of staying near one’s birthplace to difficulties of moving away. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically, and references such as “this” in “the positive effects of living near to the place where they born” are not always precise. Organise the body paragraphs around the exact task parts—reasons, advantages, and disadvantages—and use clear topic sentences and links that show how each example supports the main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “birthplace,” “relationship,” “stress,” and “depressed,” and you attempt to express ideas about familiarity and social connections. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make meaning less clear, such as “vast enough about the shops,” “changes of getting lost,” and “explore new sites to live.” Spelling errors, including “difficulities,” “challages,” and “familar,” are also noticeable. Aim for precise collocations and check word forms and spelling. For example, describe being “familiar with local shops” and the “risk of getting lost,” rather than relying on phrases that do not convey the intended meaning naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “if” and “because,” but complex structures are often faulty and errors occur frequently. Examples include “where they born” instead of “where they were born,” “they have face” instead of “they have to face,” and “it will results” instead of “it will result.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “Some people are introvert they feel shy,” where two clauses run together. These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise accurate past and present verb forms, subject–verb agreement, and punctuation, then build longer sentences from correctly formed clauses.
