Your friend has been offered a place on a course at the university where you studied. He/She would like your advice about finding a place to live.

Write an email to your friend. In your email

• describe where you lived when you were a student at the university
• recommend the best way for him/her to look for accommodation
• warn him/her of mistakes students make when choosing accommodation

Dear sandy

I hope you are doing good. Congratulations, on getting place at the same university as mine. It is a great university. There are many options to live nearby the university such as apartments, condos and PG as well. I used to live in the apartment during my studies because they are too close to the university. You do not need to worry that how you commute from there even you can walk to your apartment after studies or you can commute through the public transportation as well.

There are some ways to look for the best residential. I will recommend you the best way to check on marketplace and kjiji app because here you can get the whole information about the residence or the room. Other than this, you can check on the university notice board as well. Most of the advertisements for the accommodation are published there for the easement of students.

Most of the students make some mistakes while choosing accommodation I want to warn you to ensure that all of the electrical appliances especially all the switches and Laundry machines are in a good condition. I saw that students do not pay attention to these details which cause a big headache for them later.

Wish you a good luck for you higher studies and enjoy your new accommodation.
