Your friend has been offered a place on a course at the university where you studied. He/She would like your advice about finding a place to live.

Write an email to your friend. In your email

• describe where you lived when you were a student at the university
• recommend the best way for him/her to look for accommodation
• warn him/her of mistakes students make when choosing accommodation

Hi Sonia,

I hope you are doing fantastic! I was so thrilled after receiving a message from you about enrolled in Trinity University in Forensic Science course. I am writing you to inform you about some crucial information about accommodation.

You asked my advice regarding accommodation where you can live. Fortunately, when I was doing my Teacher’s Assistant course at university, my institution offered me an apartment to live while I was studying there. Although the place was quiet but I had to cover some distance, and I usually took bus to go to school.

I want to inform you that the university student’s facility is assisting students, who are finding difficulty in finding a suitable place for their living. I suggest you to go to their office and you can easily get a place without any hurdles. Apart from institution service, you can search it on Facebook marketplace because people regularly post the accommodations.

I strongly recommend you to check a place before you start living such as how much rent you have to pay each month and whether the utilities are included in the rent or not. Another thing is that are all the amenities available in an accommodation like furnished or not.

I would be delighted if you consider all the things while choosing a place for you to live.
