Your friend has been offered a place on a course at the university where you studied. He/She would like your advice about finding a place to live.

Write an email to your friend. In your email

• describe where you lived when you were a student at the university
• recommend the best way for him/her to look for accommodation
• warn him/her of mistakes students make when choosing accommodation

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sarah,

I hope this email finds you well. I was delightful to hear that you offered a place at university. I am writing this email to let you know about my recommendation as per your request. When I was student at the university. I lived in an apartment which was 10 minutes away from university. I shared a room with a friend. The room was quite spacious, and included a attach bathroom. I had a free parking on a street. I had a quiet and safe neighborhood, so it was the ideal place to live.

I suggest you to look for an accommodation on the Facebook marketplace. you can get a place based on your preference. You can set a viewing time as well before making a decision. Some students decided to live in a basement due to cheaper rent. However, I will not recommend that because it will be noisy from the upper tenants. Most of the basements are quite depressing.
