Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Rohit,
I hope you are doing well, I am very happy to here you that you goat a seat in university where I studied.
Firstly, I want to let you know that when I used to study, I lived with my uncle and aunty at their place which was very near to the university as well as to the transportation.
Furthermore, the best way to find the suitable place for living is that you can check the listing properties on the marketplace according to your preferences like transportation and grocery stores near by.
Lastly, I want to give you an advice which every student fails to check while leasing an house is that they are not checking the lease properly and in last when they leave they do not get the security deposit back as some students do not check the conditions properly and they sign as it is.
Hope this information help you a lot.
Yours faithfully,
Rohit Verma.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt: describing your past living situation, recommending a search method, and providing a warning about lease agreements. The tone is appropriate for an email to a friend. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the advice regarding the lease is a bit repetitive and could be more clearly articulated to show a deeper understanding of the potential pitfalls. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more specific details or personal anecdotes that make the advice feel more practical and helpful.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The email is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each bullet point, and a closing. You have used basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', and 'Lastly' to signal the progression of your ideas. While the structure is easy to follow, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that the transition between your personal experience and the advice you offer is smoother. Paragraphing is used correctly, which helps the reader navigate the different parts of your message.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'listing properties', 'marketplace', and 'security deposit'. However, there are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'here you that you goat a seat' (hear/got) and 'leasing an house' (a house). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on common collocations and ensure you are using the correct articles and verb forms when discussing housing terminology.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and article usage, such as 'when I used to study' (when I was studying) and 'in last' (in the end). Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'I am very happy to here you that you goat a seat'. These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your advice. Increasing your control over basic grammar and proofreading for small slips would significantly improve your score.
