Your friend has been offered a place on a course at the university where you studied. He/She would like your advice about finding a place to live.

• recommend the best way for him/her to look for accommodation
• warn him/her of mistakes students make when choosing accommodation

Dear Ajit,

How are you ? Hope you are doing well. I am writing to give you an advice regarding finding a place for accomodation.

First of all, many congratulations for secured a place at the university. As you already know, I have completed my graduation from the same university last year. In my college time, I was lived in a private resident, because there was no availibility of hostel facility. It was not too far from the university, as I used to went to the university on foot. If I particularly talk about place, then it was a sharing apartment with the facility of food and laundry as well.

The best way to look for accommodation is ask to your seniors in college. As, they already know the best way to find a place. Additonally, they can suggest you any brocker or place to inquire about. Another way is online website. You can find various boys PG's and rental properties for accommmodation, and they can provide you a complete details about space and facilities.

However, you have to be careful when dealing with brocker or local residents. Initially, they offer you best facilities with lower prices, but it is not as expected as they told. Therefore, it would be better to review your place physically before confirmation. Moreover, don't pay any fees in advance to anyone for accommodation.
