Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requested points: you describe sharing an apartment near the university, recommend university noticeboards and housing websites, and warn your friend to check the property and rental terms before paying. These details make the email relevant and useful. The accommodation description is the most developed part, with the short walk and helpful landlord explaining why the arrangement worked well. The search advice and warnings are clear but brief; for example, you could explain how to contact the university housing office or what to check during a viewing. The friendly purpose is apparent, though a more natural greeting and a closing would make the email feel more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: it opens with congratulations, describes your former accommodation, gives search advice, and ends with cautions. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and sequencing words such as “firstly” and “secondly” make the warnings easy to identify. Some connections within sentences are less clear, particularly the long description beginning “All the facilities…” where the relationship between nearby amenities and your comfortable life is awkwardly joined. The advice paragraph also moves quickly from one search source to another without explaining how to use them. Use clearer sentence boundaries and a few natural links between related ideas to make the progression smoother and less list-like.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “shared apartment,” “landlord,” “deposit,” “contract,” and “utilities.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word combinations are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “notice boared,” “market places,” “best comfortable,” and “convenient life.” Some expressions also repeat general wording such as “suitable place.” Aim to learn accurate spelling and natural collocations as complete phrases, especially for accommodation advice. More precise choices would help you express the same relevant ideas clearly and naturally; the current range is adequate for the task but not yet consistently controlled.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, and the reader can generally understand the intended message. However, errors occur frequently in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction. For example, “I am very pleaure to hear” and “I am super excited write” need corrected verb patterns, while “I lived with my best friend in shared apartment” is missing an article. The sentence about walking to the university combines several ideas without clear punctuation, and “all the utilities are included in rent or not” needs a more accurate question structure. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then connect them with conjunctions or full stops. This will make your meaning easier to follow while allowing you to use longer structures more reliably.
