Student answer (Band 6.5)
Modernization and globalization have changed the world completely where some masses believe that present era is perfect to live as compare to past. I believe that it can be said undoubtedly that modern time cannot be beaten throughout the history.
One of the most prominent reason is the growth of artificial intelligence. In other words, many jobs can be done nowadays with the help of technology, by saving both time as well as money. For instance, China has developed human robots in army for borders as they can survive in harsh conditions where human cannot. Furthermore, transportation services has been advanced from past times as all nations have their own comfortable airlines and also passed the number of safety inspections. Besides this, learning any skill become so easy that anyone can access material through their smartphones by sitting at anywhere in world.
Paradoxically, the future time will have more advancements and will be suitable for any age groups as medical field is getting success in finding the cure for almost every possible disease. Moreover, education will be more affordable with the advancement such as increasing number of online sessions rather than in class lessons. Also, with the growth of electric vehicles in every nation, problem of pollution will be solved in coming decades and will help in getting us a fresh air for breathing. In 2025, the government of Canada banned the use of plastic bags and promoted the use of recycling bag, in order to save environment.
To recapitulate, after taking everything into the consideration, I believe that today's time helped people in many ways and upcoming time will solve all problems of the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed both parts of the prompt, though the second part—discussing another interesting time in history—is missing. The prompt explicitly asks 'What other time in history would be interesting to live in?', but your response focuses entirely on the present and future. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While your ideas regarding technology and medicine are relevant, the lack of engagement with the historical aspect limits your score. To improve, ensure you identify and dedicate a full paragraph to a specific historical period you find intriguing and explain why, ensuring all components of the prompt are balanced.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Besides this', and 'To recapitulate' to link ideas. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes mechanical, and the transition between the present and the future in the third paragraph feels slightly abrupt. The logical flow could be improved by ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly relates to the prompt. Overall, the structure is functional, but the lack of a paragraph addressing the second part of the prompt affects the logical development of the essay as a whole.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'modernization', 'globalization', and 'paradoxically'. There are some minor issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'present era is perfect to live as compare to past' (should be 'compared to the past') and 'getting success in finding the cure' (should be 'making progress in finding cures'). While you attempt to use more sophisticated language, some phrasing remains slightly unnatural. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic collocations would help elevate your writing to a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'One of the most prominent reason' (should be 'reasons'), 'transportation services has been advanced' (should be 'have advanced'), and 'sitting at anywhere in world' (should be 'anywhere in the world'). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic agreement and article usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
