Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the opinion on the present era and the choice of a historical period. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention technology and transportation as reasons for the present being the best time, the explanation remains quite general. Similarly, the section on the Empire of Maharaja Ranjit Singh provides interesting historical context, but the link between this era and why it would be 'interesting' to live in could be more deeply explored. To improve, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with specific, logical reasoning rather than just listing features.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Besides this I am in favor of this notion and discuss in upcoming paragraphs'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used naturally will help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'religious harmony' and 'stable'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'the perfect for living on the world' instead of 'the best time to live in the world' and 'Modes of transportation inclines' which is unclear. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive or slightly incorrect word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the another interesting factors'), verb forms ('equality... was interduce'), and prepositions. Some sentences are also slightly fragmented or lack proper subject-verb agreement. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall fluency. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy, such as tense consistency and article usage, will significantly improve your writing.
