Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, but the development is significantly limited by the word count. At 182 words, the essay fails to meet the 250-word minimum, which severely restricts your ability to fully develop your arguments. While you provide reasons for why today is the best time, the second part of the prompt regarding a historical period is underdeveloped and lacks specific examples or depth. To improve, you must expand your ideas with more detailed explanations and concrete examples to ensure the response is fully developed and meets the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. For example, the transition between the first and second paragraph is abrupt. While there is a logical progression of ideas, the lack of sufficient length means the overall flow feels fragmented. To reach a higher band, you should use a wider variety of linking words and phrases (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') to connect your sentences and paragraphs more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is somewhat repetitive and lacks precision. You use basic terms like 'best time' and 'good lifestyle' repeatedly. There are also some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'strong physics' (likely meaning 'physical strength') and 'kitchen stuffs' (which is non-standard). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you express your ideas with more nuance.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include missing articles ('in best time'), subject-verb agreement ('factor that make'), and sentence fragments ('Which not only upgrade...'). Additionally, there are punctuation errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'present period is best in every prospective'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the clarity of your writing. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will help improve your score.
