Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some individual believe that best time in history to be living. I am agree with this but other time is also interesting such as a time when technology has not developed properly.
To commence with, Today's time is best for living. The first reason for this is comfort zone. To elaborate, Nowadays people had more technology and they do not need to work with their hands. For example, people now had machines available for even their daily chores. Before this period people had to struggle even for small tasks. Moreover, now every person have cell phones, everyone has access to information about any part of world. For example, with cell phones they can get any knowledge as well, they can also share anything with anyone in some minutes. As a results, these things make people believe that this is best time to live in.
On the other hand, I am also believe that the time in which people do not have any machines or technology is best one. For example, people have stress and anxiety issues nowadays but in past age people do not have any stress related medical condition. Moreover, Diseases like obesity is grown after the invention of these machines.
In conclusion, no doubt, technology has made life easier now in every field whether in medical or in education system but past age is not worse as people think. I believe in both period people had their own struggle and may had best life in any period.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing why the present is considered the best time and suggesting an alternative historical period. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. The arguments regarding technology and health are repetitive and lack depth. Furthermore, the response falls just short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which necessitates a penalty. The position is clear, but the supporting examples, such as the mention of 'comfort zone' and 'cell phones', are quite basic. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum word count to avoid a negative impact on your score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear. For example, the transition between the benefits of technology and the drawbacks in the second paragraph is abrupt. To achieve a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensure that the progression of ideas within paragraphs is smoother and more sophisticated.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but remains quite limited and repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'best time', 'machines', and 'technology' throughout the essay. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'I am agree' instead of 'I agree' and 'Diseases like obesity is grown' instead of 'has increased'. To improve, try to incorporate more precise and varied vocabulary, such as 'technological advancements', 'sedentary lifestyle', or 'historical era', to demonstrate a broader range and improve the sophistication of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Some individual believe', 'every person have'), incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'people had more technology'), and missing articles. While the meaning is generally understandable, these recurring errors prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage. Proofreading your work for these common slips will significantly enhance the accuracy of your writing.
