Student answer (Band 6.0)
Technologies altering the world. In this context, a horde of people believe that this will be the ideal time to live; others are of questioning that what time in history will be the best. This disquition will analyze and review both these notions.
On the one hand, few naysayers believe this is the best time to live because of that the individuals are getting top-notch technologies, services, jobs, and comfort; everything we need, we are getting now. For instance, in the ninth century, the data speed was very slow compared to now. People can easily get info about every corner of the world by using the internet. Therefore, I personally believe that this is the ideal time to explore life.
Another school of that the best time in history to live is the 19th century. Everyone was really happy because they did not worry too much about anything. For example, when we look into the white collar jobs, those people who make enough money are not happy because the life expense is getting high due to lot of factors like conflicts between nations, war, etc. Therefore, living expense is an inevitable part in every century.
To recapitulate, by analyzing both these notions, I am personally inclined to that the 20th century is the best time to explore technologies and Services. However, the rise in living expense is to be controlled using proper financial planning and wealth management, the technology will help us to overcome this scenario.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, but the development is limited. The word count is slightly below the 250-word requirement, which impacts the depth of the arguments. The discussion regarding the 19th century is somewhat confusing, as it conflates historical living conditions with modern economic pressures like 'white collar jobs' and 'war'. The position is clear, but the supporting ideas are underdeveloped and lack sufficient detail or logical consistency. To improve, you should expand on your examples and ensure that your historical comparisons are factually grounded and directly relevant to the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often mechanical or disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'To recapitulate', the transition between the two main body paragraphs is abrupt. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the link between the 19th century and modern economic stress is not logically connected. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a clear progression of thought, making the argument feel somewhat fragmented.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. You use some informal or awkward phrasing, such as 'a horde of people' and 'disquition' (which appears to be a misuse of 'disquisition'). There are also issues with word choice, such as 'getting top-notch technologies' and 'life expense is getting high'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology rather than relying on general, conversational language. The range is sufficient to convey meaning, but it does not demonstrate a wide or flexible vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'others are of questioning that what time', 'because of that the individuals', and 'I am personally inclined to that'. These errors involve incorrect preposition usage, awkward clause structures, and missing articles. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. You should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of subordinating conjunctions to improve your accuracy.
