Undoubtedly, every coin has two sides and so are the people. Society people are divided into two groups and therefore, living in today’s world in more interesting than in past times has become a topic of debate among people.
Firstly, there are numbers of advantages and disadvantages in both the situation. However, considering today’s life interesting is because of the growth as well as the development in terms of technology. For an instance, earlier people were walking for traveling as well as had no GPS system but nowadays, due to technology advancement it has become convenient to travel using transport whereas, with the help of GPS devices in vehicles you reach your destination without any obstacles.
Secondly, living was very uncomfortable and inconvenient before as storing your money safely was a task however, today banking system is a backbone of the country’s economy. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the first part of the prompt regarding whether today is the best time to live. However, it fails to adequately address the second part of the prompt: 'What other time in history would be interesting to live in?' The essay focuses entirely on the advantages and disadvantages of modern technology without suggesting or discussing a specific historical period. This is a significant omission that limits the development of the response. To improve, ensure all parts of the question are answered with equal weight and depth.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. There is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'On its contrasting side' and 'So according to me'. While the paragraphing is sufficient, the transition between the two main points could be smoother to improve the overall flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express basic ideas about technology and daily life. There are some attempts at more complex vocabulary, such as 'technological innovations' and 'convenient', but the range is somewhat limited. Some phrasing is slightly awkward, such as 'Society people' and 'living in technology advancement world'. Increasing the use of more precise collocations and varied synonyms would help elevate the score. The errors present do not impede communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'every coin has two sides and so are the people' (should be 'so do the people') and 'numbers of advantages' (should be 'a number of advantages'). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and subject-verb agreement. While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding the writer's meaning. To reach a higher band, focus on refining complex sentence structures and ensuring consistent grammatical accuracy.
