Commencing with the most significant reason why now is the best time; firstly, the recent breakthrough inventions either related to the technology, healthcare and education. For example, in these days people can travel globally without any problem and many chronic diseases can be cured easily because of advanced medicines and treatment which people of ancient time did not have these facilities and died in early age. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: why the present is the best time to live and an alternative historical period. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the arguments regarding healthcare and technology are well-supported, the second part of the prompt—discussing an interesting historical time—is slightly misinterpreted. You focused on the concept of 'joint families' rather than a specific historical era or period. To improve, ensure you explicitly name a historical period (e.g., the Renaissance or the Victorian era) and link your arguments to the specific characteristics of that time to fully satisfy the prompt's requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Commencing with', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion', to guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'On the other, there is a time that would be quite interesting'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and some sentences are run-on, which affects the flow. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence connects smoothly to the next without relying on repetitive structures.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary era', 'technological advancement', and 'chronic diseases'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and minor collocation errors, such as 'make the the life more easier' (should be 'makes life easier') and 'folks life' (should be 'people's lives'). The vocabulary is generally sufficient to convey your meaning, but it lacks the sophistication and precision required for higher bands. Expanding your repertoire to include more academic collocations and avoiding informal phrasing like 'folks' would significantly enhance your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('people were used to live', 'individuals were lived') and article usage ('the the life', 'in early days'). Some sentences are fragmented or lack proper punctuation, which occasionally forces the reader to re-read for clarity. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like tense consistency and unnecessary articles. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will help move your score into the 7.0 range.
