Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, the world has been changing and so the people. It's the rule of nature to adapt the environment and mold yourself according to the situation and time. In my opinion, this is the best time to live and it's not only because I'm genz but because there are some time when the situations are not good.
Firstly, I would like to talk about today's time where every person is independent whether they are male or female. Women are also getting good opportunities similar to men in terms of education, job , marriage and living according to their choice. This is the best development in this modern world where every women has there rights.
On the contrary, if I talk about the previous years where women are not aware about their rights. They didn't get the proper opportunity in terms of education and working somewhere was always a dream of females. On the other hand, there were some certain societal norms which are not in favour of girls.
However, if I talk about the medieval times there are some certain rules which were totally against women and because of those stereotype typical norms that society were also become male dominance society.
At the end, I believe that current time is the best time to live and stay in world. Previous years are not that great for females, due to which the lives of women were controlled by the men of society. I would also like to thanks to god who born me in today's society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the first part of the prompt regarding why today is the best time to live, focusing on gender equality. However, the second part of the prompt—'What other time in history would be interesting to live in?'—is completely ignored. The essay lacks a discussion of an alternative historical period, which is a significant omission. The position is clear, but the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive, focusing almost exclusively on the status of women without exploring other aspects of modern life that might support the argument that this is the best time to live.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, 'On the contrary' is used to introduce a paragraph about the past, which is not the most logical transition. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'that society were also become male dominance society,' which lacks grammatical cohesion. While there is an overall progression of ideas, the links between sentences are often simplistic, and the conclusion does not effectively synthesise the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of words like 'time,' 'women,' and 'society.' Some word choices are awkward or incorrect, such as 'adapt the environment' (should be 'adapt to the environment') and 'male dominance society' (should be 'male-dominated society'). The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, but the lack of variety and the presence of collocation errors limit the effectiveness of the expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'every women has there rights' (subject-verb agreement and pronoun error) and 'society were also become' (tense and structure error). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are errors in article usage and pluralisation throughout the text. The frequency of these errors is high enough to occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader, though the overall meaning remains understandable.
