Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that some people consider this time as the best time in history to live with modern technologies, accessibility of all gadgets and several resources for education. I highly believe this as a huge advantage for all of us as it has many benefits. However, I would be more interested to live in the history of the growing European culture back in the medieval age.
There are several reasons to consider this era as best time to live in when technology is progressing on a larger scale. It has shown a positive trend in medical field such as, doctors and surgeons have considered this development as more sustainable and reliable. Whereas, "Internet" have also shown a huge success in terms of pursuing the higher education; as online resources helps an individual to study in better position. These social trends are appreciated on a global scale and have become a success since then.
If I had an opportunity to go back in time, I would be interested to live in the growing population of the European culture where many advancements in art, science and literature have shown great results. Back then, well-known great artists like Leonardo Da Vinci and Van Gogh were quite famous in their respective domaine as they expressed their passion into a piece of canvas despite the lack of modern tools. Moreover, talent like this was greatly recognized and even displayed on a larger platforms than to what is shown in today's period, regardless of having multiple sources of technologies.
In conclusion, although current period is surrounded by updated equipments and tools to overcome a serious obstacle, I would still want to explore the Renaissance era where people showed their greatest talent despite the lack of technologies. It would be such a golden opportunity to discover the ancient culture and traditions that have fade in today's world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed both parts of the prompt: your opinion on the current era and your interest in a historical period. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For example, when discussing the current era, you mention medical and educational advancements but do not provide specific, concrete examples to support these claims. Similarly, your discussion of the Renaissance is slightly confused, as you mention Da Vinci and Van Gogh together, despite them belonging to different historical periods. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting arguments are more detailed and historically accurate, and maintain a clear, consistent focus throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into four paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'However,' 'Moreover,' and 'In conclusion,' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. For instance, the transition between the general mention of the Renaissance and the specific mention of artists could be more fluid. Additionally, ensure that referencing is clear; at times, the connection between your supporting points and the main topic sentence of the paragraph is slightly weak.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'sustainable,' 'pursuing,' and 'domaine.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation that slightly hinder precision. For example, you use 'domaine' (which should be 'domain') and 'updated equipments' (equipment is an uncountable noun). Furthermore, phrases like 'live in the history of the growing European culture' are slightly unnatural. To improve, focus on using collocations correctly and expanding your range of academic vocabulary to express your ideas with more sophistication and precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues, such as 'online resources helps' (should be 'help') and 'Internet have also shown' (should be 'has'). Additionally, there are minor punctuation and article errors throughout the text. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and noun countability.
