Student answer (Band 6.0)

Despite the fact that current time has advanced technologies whether it is automobile, gadgets or commute, I believe after five years it will be the best time for us to be living. This will be because of the more advancement of the technologies and most importantly due to the evolution of AI.

Some people believe that, the current time is the best time to be living in the history. They believe because of their day to day experiences with the technologies. Which means people in the current time has seen the world evolving, unlike past years when it was hard to commute to a particular distance. It was hard for the loved ones to get in touch. Whereas, in today's time people can drive to their desired destination. When the distance is too far, than flights are the other best option. Moreover, mobile phones have made our lives so easier, that even staying at the far distance, it is easy to communicate with the loved ones.

However, I believe that after five years the life will be the best. There are many reasons which can justify this statement, but the evolving AI (Artificial Intelligence) is the major reason. AI is going to take over this world in coming years. It will make every field easy such as automobile and medical. Therefore, it will help doctors to diagnose patients disease more accurately and at the early stage. This will help patient to be cured at the early stage. For example, some patients are not aware of the doctors report and the readings, to resolve that they will have to ask AI about the report and it will summarize whole report in an easy language.

In conclusion, although current time in already under evolving stage, the future will have been evolved in few years. It will make our lives easy and affordable.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, but the development is somewhat limited. You clearly state your opinion that the future (five years from now) will be the best time, and you identify AI as the key driver. However, the second part of the prompt asks what other time in history would be interesting to live in, which you have completely overlooked. By failing to discuss a historical period, you have not fully addressed all parts of the task. To improve, ensure you dedicate a full paragraph to each part of the question to ensure a balanced and comprehensive response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'However', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion', to link your thoughts. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'Which means people in the current time has seen the world evolving'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, making the flow feel a bit repetitive. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that connects back to the main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'evolution', 'diagnose', and 'summarize'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'current time has advanced technologies' (should be 'the current era') and 'life will be the best' (a bit simplistic). You also rely on basic phrasing like 'make our lives so easier' (should be 'easier'). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and avoid repetitive structures. Expanding your range of academic vocabulary will help you convey your ideas with greater precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally affect clarity. For example, 'people in the current time has seen' (subject-verb agreement error) and 'than flights are the other best option' (incorrect use of 'than'). There are also issues with article usage and tense consistency, such as 'the future will have been evolved'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring consistent verb tenses throughout your writing.
