Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, due to the technology advancement, a number of argue that this present world is the best time in record to be living. In my opinion, I firmly agree with this view, and, in the following paragraphs, I will explain the other time in history that would be fascinating to experience.
To begin with, the availability and usefulness of technology has make this present world to be more interesting to be living. In the old time, for instance, people travel for days just to deliver a message to one another. But, with the availability of technology, someone can sit in the comfort of his home to send message to their loved ones through a phone call.
Furthermore, I believe the coming years would be more interesting to experience because with the advancement in technology, many things we do by ourselves today with be carried out by the help of a robot. For instance, some busy individuals that find it difficult to engage in home chores after work would opt for the purchase of robot in order to carry-out those tasks for them.
In conclusion, I believe technology has made this present world to better time to be living than the former years. And with the usefulness and advancement of technology the years to come would be more and more enjoyable and interesting to exeperience.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address the first part of the prompt regarding the present day, the second part—discussing another time in history that would be interesting to live in—is completely omitted. The prompt explicitly asks for your opinion on the present and a different historical era, but you only discuss the present and the future. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed, leading to a lower score for task achievement. To improve, ensure you allocate enough time to address every component of the prompt and expand your arguments with more detailed examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the progression of ideas is limited because the second part of the prompt is missing. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion', but they are somewhat mechanical. Paragraphing is present, but the lack of content in the second half of the essay makes the overall organization feel incomplete. To improve, focus on linking your ideas more fluidly and ensure that each paragraph contributes to a balanced response that covers all aspects of the task instructions.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on repetitive phrasing, such as 'interesting to be living' and 'advancement in technology'. There are also minor errors, such as 'exeperience' (spelling) and 'technology advancement' (should be 'technological advancement'). To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more varied vocabulary and collocations. For example, instead of repeating 'interesting', use synonyms like 'fascinating', 'compelling', or 'advantageous'. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary will help you express your ideas with greater sophistication and clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'a number of argue' (should be 'a number of people argue'), 'has make' (should be 'has made'), and 'opt for the purchase of robot' (should be 'opt to purchase a robot'). While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are persistent. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, article usage, and verb tense consistency. Proofreading your work for these common slips will help you move toward more accurate and complex sentence construction.
