Today is the era that masses are thriving economically, better healthcare, excellent transport system, opening more opportunities and rights for women, as well as enormous amounts of information. However, not everything it is what it seems, blessing always comes with disguise.

Firstly, life is always about changes. Over the time everything evolve into something. With the advancement in healthcare and technology, there is no doubt that it makes people’s life easy. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing why the present is considered the best time and identifying a historical alternative. However, the development is uneven. The second part of the prompt—which historical time would be interesting to live in—is addressed very briefly and vaguely in the fourth paragraph, lacking the depth and specific examples required for a higher band. While the position is clear, the arguments regarding environmental impact and historical 'success' are somewhat underdeveloped. To improve, ensure that both parts of the prompt receive equal weight and provide more concrete, illustrative examples to support your claims.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'However', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions feel abrupt. For instance, the transition into the fourth paragraph is sudden and lacks a clear link to the previous discussion about modern environmental issues. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as the phrase 'under the duvet', which is an incorrect idiom in this context. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'advancement', 'economically', and 'thriving'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and incorrect collocations that hinder precision. Examples include 'burden some' (burdensome), 'under the duvet' (which does not mean 'hidden' or 'unseen'), and 'joining the race of development'. There are also minor errors in word form, such as 'everything evolve' instead of 'everything evolves'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more natural collocations and ensuring that idiomatic expressions are used accurately in the correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('everything evolve'), incorrect verb tenses, and missing articles. For example, 'Now death rate is much lower then from the previous centuries' contains errors in article usage and the comparative 'than'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to suggest a lack of control over complex structures. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
