Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, people feels this is the best time to live in the whole history. I will certainly agree on this viewpoint as people have broaden their mindsets and living fully in their life. However, there are also some parts in the past years would have been interesting to live in. This essay will explain my opinion and why past time was also facinating to live.
To commence with, nowadays individuals are becoming more self-centric and not worring about other crowd. By this I mean, in the past years, people were always thinking what other people are feeling. Due to these, they have to given up on their passions and dreams. Secondly, with the broaden mindsets people are now accepts all kind of ethnicity without discriminating them. One of the best illustarion for this is, people now blend with all kind of communities and also they can even marry to them.
However, there are some points which proves that past life or history time was the best to be lived. Firstly, without technology life was quite simple and subtle as compared to today's Artifcal Inteligence era. In the history time around 16th and 18th century, people were too social and friendly. They had good communication and also they were easily blend with all the people. Constrastly, now they become self-centric due to tech devices. Additionly, in history people had less demands in their needs which is good for environment and climate. For example, living without utilities such as AC and TV.
To conclude, although in history people were living simple and subtle life without any worries and also with less demands from the nature. I belive current era is best to live as people have broaden their mindsets and live their life fully without worring about people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the opinion on the current era and the choice of a historical period. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention that people are 'self-centric' now and were 'social' in the past, these points lack depth and specific evidence. The argument regarding the 16th and 18th centuries is quite vague, as it treats these two very different centuries as a single, homogeneous period. To reach a higher band, you should provide more concrete examples or nuanced explanations for why those specific times would be interesting, rather than relying on generalisations about simplicity.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To commence with', 'Secondly', and 'However' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear (e.g., 'Due to these' in the second paragraph). The progression of ideas is logical, but the connection between the paragraphs could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would strengthen the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You use some repetitive phrasing, such as 'broaden their mindsets' and 'simple and subtle'. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'not worring about other crowd' (instead of 'others' or 'society') and 'illustarion' (spelling error). While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'Artificial Intelligence' and 'ethnicity', the overall range is limited. Focusing on more sophisticated collocations and avoiding informal phrasing will help improve your lexical score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('people feels', 'people is now accepts'), incorrect verb forms ('they have to given up'), and missing articles. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the writing from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that verb tenses are used consistently throughout your paragraphs.
