Student answer (Band 5.0)

Few individuals say present time is good in whole history for living the best life for living. in my opinion yes i agree with this situation bacause now a days there is more technology and best things to live.

Firstly. i would start with technology as every people is using some type of technology in day to day life for surviving .In ancient time every work is done by computers and AI and individuals are living there best life doing less work in there life. Moreover, students are also using internet for their studies to do their homework for stress free life. these are the some reasons why technology is important for everyone .

Secondly, these days every necessary thing is available for living best life .in cities there are more schools and hospitals for public to take advantages. before there was less schools for students to get knowledge. in future there would be more interesting things in history as technology is inclining and scientists are researching more .i think in future every one will be working from home and enjoying with there family. On the other hand shopping got easy as nowadays there are online apps for shopping and doing groceries. which saves time and make shopping easy. Individuals get in touch with long distance friends and family while call each other by call, message or vidio call.

In conclusion, individuals are living there best life while getting more benifiots from technology and online apps. In future there will be more goood things for people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, but the development is quite limited. While you state that the present is the best time due to technology, the explanation is repetitive and lacks specific, concrete examples. For instance, you mention 'every work is done by computers' in ancient times, which is factually incorrect and confusing. The second part of the prompt—asking about another interesting time in history—is not addressed at all; you instead discuss the future. To improve, ensure you fully answer all components of the question and provide more logical, well-supported arguments rather than general statements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is often disjointed. While you use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion', the internal logic within paragraphs is weak. For example, the transition from discussing ancient times to modern technology is abrupt and confusing. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the phrase 'this situation' in the introduction, which lacks a clear antecedent. To achieve a higher score, focus on creating a clearer progression of ideas and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive. You frequently use simple phrases like 'best life', 'good things', and 'doing'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'bacause', 'benifiots', 'vidio', and 'goood', which distract the reader. The range of vocabulary is limited, and you struggle to use more precise or academic terminology to express your ideas. To improve, try to incorporate a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary related to history, technology, and societal development, and pay closer attention to spelling accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'every people is using', 'there is less schools'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain run-on structures. While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often faulty or contain errors that make the meaning unclear. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of plural and singular nouns before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
