Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the opinion on the current era and the selection of another interesting time period. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention medical and technological advancements, the explanations are brief and lack specific, concrete examples to fully support your arguments. The second part of the prompt regarding the 'other time in history' is addressed by looking into the future (2050), which is a valid interpretation, but it lacks depth. To improve, ensure you provide more detailed illustrations or evidence for your claims to reach a higher band level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To elaborate on this,' 'Moreover,' and 'To conclude,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'The another reason is access to knowledge.' The use of referencing is generally clear, but the overall structure could benefit from more sophisticated linking words to connect sentences more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'modernization,' 'incurable diseases,' and 'technological breakthroughs.' However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'situation of history,' 'every walks of life,' and 'more better.' These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To achieve a higher score, focus on using collocations more accurately and expanding your range of academic vocabulary to avoid repetitive phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is a positive step. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('poverty rate has been fallen'), article misuse ('the life would be'), and awkward phrasing ('this phase is more better than the previous years'). While these errors are noticeable, they rarely prevent the reader from understanding your intended meaning. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining your control over complex sentence structures.
