Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many people suggest that this advanced technology age is the best time to be alive. I strongly disagree with this believe because the stone age era was a time adulterated were not eaten
on one hand, several benefits of our advancing world cannot be over emphasized, in the last century the medium of through which information were heard was from real time authentic source like the radio nowadays such information can be relayed faster through the phone or internet space. Though, with the invention of advanced technology it has also enhanced several crime such as cyber bullying, different kinds of internet frauds.
The current technological advancement has provided so many assistance not only in health sector where life can be saved with the help advance machines which has helped to provide better assessment and correct diagnosis
Despite living in an advancing world, I would agree that stone age was such an amazing period because people leave in harmony , news were heard in real time, feeding was usually from natural source unlike this period where so many less nutritional foods are packaged to look attractive rather than being nutritional leading to so many health implications. Also life expectancy has reduced as a result of what we consume. for example repots of kidney issues have showed link to what we consume
In conclusion, despite the numerous advantages of recent developments that makes life easier, several crimes have taking over the society. I agree with the olden days life style when more food are consumed naturally with less health challenges.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you express a clear preference for the Stone Age, the reasoning is somewhat superficial and relies on generalizations about nutrition and crime. The argument regarding the Stone Age is also slightly confusing, as you suggest it was a time of harmony and real-time news, which is historically inaccurate. To improve, ensure your supporting points are logical and grounded in reality. The conclusion restates your position, but the overall development lacks the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of clear cohesive devices. Transitions between ideas are often missing or mechanical, such as the abrupt shift between the discussion of technology and the Stone Age. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your train of thought. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') to connect your sentences and paragraphs more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'adulterated were not eaten' and 'this believe' (instead of 'belief'). You also use 'leave' instead of 'lived' and 'repots' instead of 'reports'. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'technological advancement' and 'life expectancy', the overall range is narrow. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more precise terminology and ensure you are using the correct word forms in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'information were heard', 'crimes have taking over'), incorrect verb tenses, and missing articles. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors in punctuation or syntax. For example, the sentence 'Though, with the invention of advanced technology it has also enhanced several crime' is grammatically fragmented. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like subject-verb agreement.
