Student answer (Band 5.0)
I think everytime is best, if you have good company with you although its past or present. I also think this is the best time to live but in this history we need to change something like nature, people think everyone is telling wrong only that thing is good what they think. In this history, everyone is running to fast because its nature's demand i think. We don't have time for our families and friends. Just we spend life, we don't live it at once.
Although this the best time to live, just a little change improve our lives.
In late 19's,the history is good because everyone care others, also everyone have time for thier families and friends. People live their lives with whom's they live for. I thing its a good time in history where everyone live together, and spent lot of time with their love ones. There is no traffic on the streets, no pollution in the environment, everyone lives a happy life.
For example I'm studying about old history, in which i study how people live their life with less resources, and i'm glad to find my answer. In which they tell the major points like people were not greedy, they live balanced life, they spend most of the time in family gatherings. they share everything with others, also they don't compare thereselves with others. The most people do farming, which help them to live a healthy life. One more special thing they do. they do their work on the own.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, but the development is limited. While you state that the present is the best time to live, the reasoning is somewhat contradictory, as you immediately pivot to criticizing modern life for being too fast and lacking human connection. The second part of the task, regarding an interesting historical period, is addressed by mentioning the 'late 19s' (likely referring to the 19th century), but the description is vague and relies on generalizations about farming and lack of traffic. To improve, you should provide more specific, concrete examples to support your arguments rather than relying on broad, idealized statements about the past.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is often disjointed. Transitions between sentences are frequently missing or mechanical, such as the abrupt shift from discussing the present to the past. The use of cohesive devices is limited, and some referencing is unclear, such as 'in this history' or 'in late 19's'. The logical progression is hindered by these issues, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. Using a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') would help connect your ideas more effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. There are several instances of awkward word choices and non-standard phrasing, such as 'everyone is telling wrong only that thing is good what they think' and 'with whom's they live for'. You rely on simple, high-frequency words, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic expressions. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning collocations and more precise vocabulary to describe social and historical concepts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'everyone care others'), tense usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple, and attempts at more complex structures often result in errors, such as 'I think everytime is best, if you have good company with you although its past or present.' Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and apostrophes. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors would significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
