Student answer (Band 6.0)
Current time is considered to the top notch time in history to be lived according to many individuals. Each and every individual have their own choice while opting the topic of living. According to my opinion every time has their own time essence owing to some reasons and these reasons will be discussed in the forthcoming paragraphs with suitable examples.
One of the major reason is that past time was more appreciated because during that time people used to do more work by themselves. To explain it, individuals of past time worked hard and prefer more manual work which helps them to stay more healthy and fit. Resultingly, healthy masses were burden and tension free. Moreover, technology were not much advanced so they used their on capacity to perform any kind of task , but in today's era it is completely changed. Individuals are much more reliable on technology such as computers, electricity, transportation modes, and many more.
Not only this, but also earlier people used written form mails when they have to convey any kind of messages to their family, friends, and relatives which showed more patience and eagerness for the response. In current time, it is entirely altered, mobile phones are being used to send messages and call purposes if somebody does not respond quickly people show anger on them. So due to these reasons I personally admit that every time comes with many changes and give many opportunities and also showed some drawbacks.
In conclusion, no doubt current time is admitted to the best time in the history for living, but past time was also worth it due to the reasons that I have mentioned above.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing why the current era is viewed as the best and identifying the past as an interesting alternative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that people in the past were healthier due to manual labor, the argument lacks depth and specific examples. The second part of the prompt—discussing why the past would be interesting—is addressed only superficially by focusing on communication methods. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples to support your opinions, ensuring that the comparison between the two eras is more balanced and analytical.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Not only this, but also', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel forced. For example, the shift from discussing health to technology in the second paragraph is abrupt. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'Resultingly, healthy masses were burden and tension free', which lacks a clear connection to the preceding sentence. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring smoother transitions would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'top notch time', 'opting the topic of living', and 'healthy masses'. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations, such as 'reliable on technology' instead of 'reliant on technology'. To improve, you should focus on using more academic and precise vocabulary. Avoid informal or clunky expressions and try to incorporate less common lexical items that are appropriate for an essay format. Expanding your range of synonyms and practicing correct word combinations will help you achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Each and every individual have', 'technology were not'), incorrect verb forms ('to be lived', 'showed some drawbacks'), and awkward sentence construction. Punctuation is generally functional, but the misuse of articles and prepositions is noticeable throughout the text. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and practicing complex sentence structures would be highly beneficial.
