IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Some people say that now is the best time in history to be living.
What is your opinion about this?
What other time in history would be interesting to live in?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowaday, majority of individuals thinks that current time period is the best time to live since the humans are existing on the earth. Whereas, I would say that not only current time period but one or two decades before was also the good time to live. However I will explain both points in detail below.
The current situation is the best time ever because of the degital technology. Because, everyone can see, explore and enjoy lot of things as on going in the present time. Also, day by day more progressive things happen on the earth, which makes easy life of living existence. As we can see technology expanding or making robotics field in realtime world, so many people rely on it such as robotic car- drivers are just seating and resting on the car and finishing their extra works while driving the robotic car, because car is driving by them remote control. Moreover, nowadays, generation can expand their level of thinking by use their thoughts into the real time world by using different materials, products as well as machinory. It would eventually helpful for everybody as it would only be possible in present time as every facilities can be provided by developing world.
However, there were few decades ago, the world was not more developed but communities were polite, true and gentle by their behaviour. Because, in past decades, no one focusing or going behind the money instead they were focusing on the relationship with the public surrounding them, so by nature or mindset of people I prefered to live in past decades would be better. Additionally, not only human beings were helful towards others but there were less stress for being rich or showing off their wealth in the society was less as compared to present time, which would more helpful to stick family, friends as well as society togather.
In conclusion I would like every generations to live as we can learn more from others about the generational knowladge as well as changes, development and growth between time period of living life.
