Some people say that now is the best time in history to be living.
What is your opinion about this?
What other time in history would be interesting to live in?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some individuals contend that now is the most suitable time to have a fulfilling life in the history. In my opinion, this is the best time to live in because technological advancements have made life more convenient and easier as compared to the past. Moreover, if given a chance I would live to witness the renaissance period for a short duration becasue of the extraordinary discoveries in art, science and literature. de
To commence with, the main reason why some people argue that now is the best time to live in is that the technological developments have benefited humans in all aspects of life. To elaborate, since new researches and discoveries have made basic needs cheaper such as food, shelter and clothes, most of the people can afford them and live a satisfying life. However, there are still some underprivaledged parts of the world where governments and non-profit organizations have to provide basic amenities free of cost. In my opinion, the present time is most suitable for living because advancements in medical science have made it easier to treat a patient which was not possible in the past for some health ilements. For instance, nowadays a organ transplant surgery is less complicated because of the invention of various medical equipment.
If given a chance I would like to live in the renaissance period which happened in the Europe between the 14th and 17th century. That period wintessed some remarkable achievements in art, science and ilterature which still drive the modern day world. I would love to understand the though-process of great thinkers like the leanardo-da-vinci. However, I would like to experience that era for a short duration becasue at that time infrastructure facilities were not developed to enjoy a flourishing life.
To recapitulate, this essay has discussed that now is the best time to live in because of scientific advancements have made life safe and comfortable. For example the invention of washing machine has made it easier to wash clothes.
