IELTS Writing Task 2 question

Some people say that now is the best time in history to be living.

What is your opinion about this?

What other time in history would be interesting to live in?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Many people argue that current world would be the greatest to live in. As per my point of view i agree with the statment. There are many reasons behind it which we will discuss further. If someone give me chance to go back in histrory I would choose 80s which was a time when there were so many good things and I really want to feel that time where everyone was not in a rush and life is so smooth.

Currently it is a technological era. We have lots of convenient options to choose like we do not need to do house chores by ourselves . All the thing use just machines. AI also plays singnificant role in todays world where we can learn anything from anywere via internet. For example just record your voice and ask AI to slove any study related problems or even any kind of questions.Our life is so relaxing nowadays that whole world is in our one hand. We should always gratefull for this world where we have everything to do, We get a freedom, name and fame such a good time as per past if we use it wisely.

There were such a time which gives you a nostalgic feeling such as 80s. It was a begining of anera where best movies relesed, best songs arrived, we understood basic of technology. Although I love current technology but sometimes i just want to go back to that era feel the peace and sign of relef where we did not have touch screen phones, laptops and other kinds of technical devises. Life was so simple where we could get a chance to just celebrate present no any tension about our future. The main thing about that life was minimal noise ,air and water polution. Our routine was so healthy and we could manage work life balance as well.

In conclusion, everyone has a different opinon about the world , There will always be benefits and drawbacls together. It is uo to us how we could handle the problems and solutions. I think that both eras have their own indentity. One has conveniet and other time has peace in the world.
